22.06.2018 : CM asks Navy to put restrictions at airport on hold. Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has asked the Naval authorities not to talk on restriction of civilian flights at Vizag Airport till he (the Chief Minister) held another review meet on the issue in the next 15 days. Railway Zone : Govt. of India should announce new Railway Zone for Andhra Pradesh with "Visakhapatnam as its Headquarters" at the earliest, which is pending since more than two decades. The new Railway Zone consists Waltair, Vijayawada, Guntur and Guntakal divisions and the name of the new railway zone may be "South Coast Railway".
IT Incubation Tower : No news since June, 2017 on the proposed IT Incubation Tower at Siripuram in Visakhapatnam Smart City, a joint venture project of VUDA and STPI, with 3 basements and 8 floors. Project completion period will be 18 months and the estimated Project cost is Rs. 62.7 crores, No of IT units: 40-50 approx. Employment generation to 5000 people approx., exports target Rs. 200 crores.
INS Viraat Hotel & Museum : No news on INS Viraat Project since February, 2018. The Andhra Pradesh Government had submitted a detailed project report in February 2018 on conversion of decommissioned aircraft carrier INS Viraat into a museum and hotel-cum-convention centre and it was under the consideration of the Ministry of Defence, according to Union Minister of State for Defence Subhash Bhamre.

Expansion of existing runway - Existing runway is 10030 ft and they want to expand another 300 ft and Construction of 3 more Aerobridges, which are pending since more than 3 years. International Cargo facility - Upgrade the facilities at the cargo terminal and Proper infrastructure to handle large volumes of International cargo.
CM, Mr. Chandrababu Naidu inaugurated the Integrated Command and Communication Centre (ICCC) at GVMC office premises on 26.02.2018. Smart city initiatives should also include integration of data and convergence adopting best practices, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has said. Interacting with officials after inaugurating the City Operations Centre of Integrated Command and Communication Centre on Monday, he said the real time governance practices should be integrated with those of RTG at the State-level.
